COVID-19 Updated 14th May 2020

Current Situation

We continue to monitor the latest updates about the global COVID-19 outbreak and are taking actions to safeguard the health of our employees and customers, while still being able to provide a high level of service. Many of our customers are deemed to provide an essential part of the UK supply chain and it is crucial that we continue to support them as necessary. We have implemented operational continuity plans within our teams to ensure we have sufficient resources to keep operating safely and products can be shipped to our customers.

We have prioritised key industries during this time for essential maintenance, calibration and supply. Our engineers are currently operating in accordance with our COVID-19 risk assessment, all government / WHO guidance and have been issued with additional PPE to protect themselves and others that they may come into contact with.

Office and Sales

Office staff are currently working from home where possible, should you wish to contact them please use either the Branch contact number shown on the Contact Us page or via email. Social distancing is being enforced at all times when staff are in any of our offices.

Supply Chain and Customer Impacts

The entire global supply chain has been impacted due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which has led to disruption in some shipping services. We have stock of most common service items and will advise on lead times for new equipment orders once they have been processed. Current lead times average between 2 - 4 weeks. We carry standard equipment in stock at various UK locations and will endeavour to source equipment in the shortest time possible.

Calibrations & Routine Maintenance

Priority is being given to all essential customers and the critical equipment that form part of their operation, along with medical devices and patient weighing equipment.

If you are operating we will endeavour to calibrate your equipment as close to the due dates as possible. However, there may be delays as we are currently working through a backlog of work dues to the enforced lockdown. We ask that you remain patient while we try and prioritise our work and reduce the backlog. In some instances, we may be able to extend the calibration dates of your equipment. Please contact us should you wish to discuss this further.

COVID-19 Risk Assessment & Use of PPE

In accordance with best practice we have published our COVID-19 risk assessment below, please feel free to download the document. We are currently experiencing large volumes of COVID-19 questionnaire requests from businesses and as such will only return them when an engineer is due to attend. The government guidance is continually changing and our response today may well differ from our response in a few weeks’ time when guidance is updated.
